The Earth Day celebration at the school was enthusiastically observed by the students. The day began with a special assembly conducted by the students of Classes VII and VIII. During the assembly, a soulful Sanskrit song dedicated to Mother Earth was presented by the students of Classes VI to VIII, creating a thoughtful and serene atmosphere.
The young learners of Class KG delivered a meaningful presentation conveying the importance of keeping the environment clean and avoiding the misuse of natural resources. Adding to the significance of the occasion, Jyotsna Sharma of Class VII delivered an inspiring speech in English, while Vaishnavi of Class VIII shared her thoughts through a Hindi speech. A short and impactful poem on Earth Day was also recited by Yatee Jain of Class VII. The celebration was further enriched by a vibrant dance performance by the students of Class VIII.
The rest of the day was filled with engaging and creative activities for students across all classes. Balvatika 1 students participated in a Tearing and Pasting Activity. Class KG students worked on ‘Colouring Smile Earth’ and made paper bags, promoting eco-friendly habits. Class I students created flower pots using pencil shavings, while Class II students were involved in Envelope-Making Activities. Students from Classes III to VIII showcased their creativity through a ‘Best out of Waste’ activity under the guidance of the Art & Craft teacher, Ms. Divya Chauhan.
An informative presentation titled “The Path from Trash to Treasure” was conducted for students of Classes II to VIII by the Science teacher, Ms. Kumud Parmar, with assistance from Ms. Ritika, Special Educator. The session highlighted the importance of recycling and reusing waste materials.
Overall, the day was filled with learning, creativity and awareness. The activities not only engaged the students but also helped in sensitizing them towards environmental conservation and the importance of sustainable living.
